RSCC Exhibits At OTC '06
On May 1 - 4, 2006, RSCC exhibited our petrochemical related cable products at one of the world’s premier Petrochemical/Offshore Oil Production trade shows: The Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) located in Houston, TX. This is one of RSCC’s most important and most strategic Sales & Marketing events of each year and takes months of careful planning and preparation. Each year special graphics, brochures, catalog engineering spec sheets, promotional items and new products must be created specifically for each expo. OTC is truly an international exposition and this year attracted over 2,214 major exhibitors from 33 countries and 59,230 visitors from around the world. Most of RSCC’s major competitors have displays at this show, which means it is very important that we have a strong presence at this expo. OTC is a HUGE exposition and covers over 475,000 square feet of exhibit space - the equivalent of 12 football fields! It the best way that our Sales Staff can meet face-to-face with the world’s most qualified buyers and specifiers of our special cable products...and hopefully...sell some cable! RSCC uses a 20 foot by 20 foot custom display equipped with special graphics and cable samples to show off our new innovative products based at our exact target audience’s needs. Also, key members of the Engineering Staff are at our booth to answer the many technical questions that come up from interested buyers and potential new customers. This year, RSCC introduced two new key cable products: Exane ZH LSX and VitaLink 2000. Other cable that has enormous applications to this specific market are Exane, Gardex, and Downhole Metal Clad. Houston, TX is at the center of the key Gulf Coast area, one of the world’s largest locations rich for oil production and exploration. We have a regional Sales Office located in Houston for this very reason. The Sunday prior to this year’s show, the RSCC Houston office hosted a gala golf tournament that was attended by our major customers and key specifiers. This sounds like fun, and it is, but it also requires much work and just another component in the world of effective and strategic corporate Sales & Marketing. Dennis Chalk (RSCC VP of Sales & Marketing) commented about the success of this year's show and and its ramifications to RSCC Sales efforts: "As you can imagine, with the Oil Industry operating at peak capacity, this year's OTC was extremely well attended. Representatives from RSCC were able to meet with key decision makers from several large original equipment manufacturer's and introduce our new Exane ZH and VitaLink 2000 product lines. The response to our product offering and overall performance was extremely encouraging. RSCC is truly recognized as a reliable, innovative supplier to the Oil Industry. Through our distribution partner National Oilwell Varco, we continue to have the best inventory position in the Gulf Coast. Our display was again well designed and well positioned within the Reliant Center allowing us immediate access to interested visitors. As the Oil Industry continues to be the largest single segment that RSCC sells to, this year's OTC was a rousing success."
